In Japan, everything is always serious, and a house fitted for cats can't be an amateur job!
The Japanese architect firm Fauna+Design, by the brilliant mind of Keiji Hirose, imagined and put it's project to the test.
Called "The Cat's House", is a project that dates back from 2008/2009, where 16 cats lived and played among it's stairs, secret passages, high spotting sites and sisal columns.
Everything was thought to the minimal detail, all woods are resistant, have rounded edges and are synchronously put closely to one another. The illumination spots are carefully placed, playing with it's many windows and ceiling lamps.
Cat's have plenty of room to play with one another or with the house. Jump, run, chase, find, hide and play are the words of the day!
Here are some stairways that lead to a huge cat runway from which they can watch human friends:
And note the minimalism present on all details. Besides being a delight for cats is also a comfort and pure beauty for the human inhabitants!
Even I wished I was a Japanese cat!
